Generosity

We were made to be caretakers of the world and to enjoy God’s good creation, all in connection with God and with others.  Because of Jesus Christ's life, death, and resurrection we can participate fully in caring for the world and enjoying God's good gifts.  We do this connected to God and to others.

Generosity is one way to care for our world and to enjoy all that God has made.  We believe generosity is a habit that we cultivate out of God's love and in recognition of Christ's grace given to us freely.

We live lives of generosity because God has been generous towards us.

There are lots of ways to be generous and we encourage you to consider how you can be generous not just with your financial resources, but with your time and your specific skills.  And generosity isn't limited to the physical church but can and should happen in our everyday lives and in our communities.

As you consider how you can live generously, consider how you might give spontaneously, strategically, and sacrificially.

And remember you don't have to have a lot to be generous.  Start with what you have, where you are, and with the people right around you.
