Wes Coffey - Lead Pastor, Owosso Campus
Wes has served as the Lead Pastor of the GracePointe since July of 2000. He accepted Christ when he was 4 years old and has spent his life experiencing God’s faithfulness. Wes’ favorite part of his job is mentoring people and watching his GracePointe family grow in their faith.
Wes holds both a bachelor’s and master’s degree in religion from Indiana Wesleyan University. He and his wife Valerie have known each other since they were kids, and they dated and married during their time at IWU.
Wes and Val are the proud parents of two amazing young adults and their spouses: daughter Ashley and her husband Ben who reside near Phoenix, Arizona, and son Jon and his wife Brianna who reside in the Houston, Texas area.
Jessica McCracken - St. Johns Campus Pastor
Jessica is a Midwest girl, and recently started a new adventure in Michigan as a pastor. She believes her job is to help people think critically, move toward wholeness found in God, and look more like Christ.
Jessica is a graduate of Indiana Wesleyan University and received her ordination in 2016. She’s worked in youth, children’s, and women’s ministries; Jessica also has experience counseling at-risk youth, and victims of domestic violence/sexual assault.
Jessica is a wife to Scott and a mamma to Zoe. Her heart is also in Heaven with a set of twins her family was in the process of adopting from Sierra Leone.
Heather Harper - Admin. Assistant & Children's Ministry Coordinator
Heather is wife to Greg and mom to two redheads, Jared and Lauren. She’s led GracePointe’s Station 252 and children’s ministry for 10 years. In addition, Heather manages the GracePointe office.
Heather says the best part of her job is being there at the beginning of a child’s worship experience and faith journey. Teaching them in Station 252 is often their first glimpse into a church family and learning about God’s love.
In addition, Heather also coordinates Love Out Loud outreach events and loves serving her church family in whatever capacity she can.
Glenn Rupert - Worship and Creative Arts Pastor
Glenn was born and raised on the West Coast in a pastor’s home. He has regularly served in music ministry since age 8 and traveled full-time around the country doing music ministry for a year during college.
Glenn moved to Michigan in 1991 and has served as the Pastor of Worship & Creative Arts at GracePointe Wesleyan Church since 2000. He is passionate about people using their God-given abilities to serve and encourage others on their spiritual journeys; nothing inspires him more than hearing a story of how God worked and seeing people grow in their faith.
Glenn is married to Rachel, and between the two of them, they have three adult sons (Jared, Austin and Drew) and two teen daughters (Evie and Maddie).
Katie Heid - Speaking Team Member and Communications Coordinator
Katie Heid serves on GracePointe’s speaking team and as Communications Coordinator. She works on videos which help tell God’s story and spreads the word on social media about GracePointe activities. She loves collaborating with Pastor Wes and Pastor Jessica on sermons.
Katie also works as an anchor for the radio affiliate Great Lakes News. She graduated from Olivet Nazarene University and holds a master’s degree from the Medill School of Journalism at Northwestern University. She’s a former disc jockey, television reporter, and college professor.
Katie lives a blessed and busy life with her husband, Bryan, and two sons Nolan and Lucas.
Cal Emerson - Pastor of Congregational Care
Pastor Cal Emerson retired from full time ministry after decades of service. However, it’s been said that pastors never fully retire because of their love of serving and seeing lives changed. It is for that reason that he has joined the GracePointe staff as Pastor of Congregational Care.
Pastor Cal has been married for 51 years to his wife, Beverly. They have three children and 6 grandchildren. They enjoy biking, hiking, camping, spending time with their children and grandchildren, and doing ministry together. He has also written five books to help God’s people discover and enjoy some of the wonderful gifts He has graciously given us.
